Dr. Keith is a board-certified, fellowship-trained plastic surgeon with expertise in gender-affirming and microvascular reconstructive surgery. He is a founding surgeon at GAMMA (Gender Affirming Medical and Microsurgical Associates), where his practice is dedicated to delivering safe, affirming, and expert surgical care to transgender and nonbinary individuals.
Dr. Drew Marano is a board-certified, fellowship-trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon with specialized expertise in gender-affirming surgery. As a founding surgeon at GAMMA (Gender Affirming Medical and Microsurgical Associates), Dr. Marano offers compassionate, expert care to transgender and gender-diverse individuals seeking gender affirmation through surgery.
Dr. Angie Paik is a board-certified and fellowship trained plastic surgeon with expertise in gender-affirming and microvascular reconstructive surgery. She also holds a subspecialty board certification in Surgery of the Hand.
Dr. Paik completed her undergraduate education at Cornell University where she majored in Biological Sciences. She earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where she also served as a research fellow in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She completed her plastic and reconstructive residency surgery training at Brown University Warren Alpert Medical School followed by a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at world-renowned The Buncke Clinic.
Prior to joining GAMMA, she served as Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Yale School of Medicine where she committed to clinical excellence, mentorship of students and trainees, and training the next generation of plastic surgeons. Her clinical expertise includes upper and lower extremity reconstruction, gender-affirming surgery, and breast and body aesthetic surgery. She was awarded the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award in recognition of her compassionate, patient-focused care. Dr. Paik has been an active researcher and educator with over 20 peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters, and has been invited to moderate and present at national meetings across the country.
She is an active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, The Aesthetic Society, and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Paik is a classically trained violinist and studied at The Juilliard School’s Pre-College Division. She has been an avid member of various ensembles including concertmaster of the Cornell Symphony Orchestra, the Warwick Symphony Orchestra, the Providence Medical Orchestra, the National Virtual Medical Orchestra, the Yale Medical Symphony Orchestra, and the New Haven Chamber Orchestra.
Above all, Dr. Paik puts patient care first. She takes the time to listen to each patient’s goals and concerns. She guides them through options with clarity, honesty, and compassion so they feel confident and supported throughout their surgical journey.
A New Jersey native, Dr. Karl Coutinho completed his undergraduate degree in Biology and Economics at New York University and received his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School in 2010. Dr. Coutinho completed his Internship in General Surgery and Residency in Urology at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He completed a Genitourinary Reconstructive Fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and University Hospitals in Cleveland. Dr. Coutinho received additional training in genitourinary prosthetics and reconstruction through courses at Perito Urology in Miami, and as a visiting fellow at the Kulkarni Endosurgery Institute in Pune, India. Dr. Coutinho has served continuously in the military since 2003, as an enlisted infantryman, infantry officer, field surgeon, flight surgeon, and brigade surgeon. Lieutenant Colonel Coutinho served as the Brigade Surgeon of the 44th IBCT during their 2024 deployment to Syria and Iraq. There he assisted in the medical and emergency surgical care of soldiers, civilians, and refugees. Dr. Coutinho’s areas of expertise include the placement of inflatable penile implants, urethral stricture disease, artificial urinary sphincter placement, kidney and bladder stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostate issues, and genitourinary reconstruction. Dr. Coutinho is a board certified urologist, founding member of the Society of Gender Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Carly Paul, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant accredited by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and subsequently obtained her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City.
During her clinical training, Carly had the opportunity to work alongside leading plastic and reconstructive surgery teams at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. She also had the pleasure to learn from one of the top certified burn centers at Weill Cornell. These high-acuity rotations reinforced her passion for surgical care and strengthened her commitment to patient advocacy in all phases of each surgical journey. As an active member of the Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants (APSPA), Carly remains dedicated to continuous learning and advancing her expertise in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Carly is passionate about providing compassionate, individualized care to transgender and non-binary patients at GAMMA. She strives to ensure that every patient feels supported, respected, and empowered throughout their entire experience with GAMMA, starting even before a surgical consultation takes place.
Kate is a board-certified physician assistant, credentialed by the NCCPA. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Delaware and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
She brings years of experience in both emergency medicine as well as cardiac surgery. Kate is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to the patients of GAMMA. She considers it a privilege to guide patients through every stage of their treatment, striving to build trust and ensure they feel comfortable and supported.
Kate has a particular passion for caring for the transgender community through gender-affirming surgeries. Recognizing that each patient’s path is unique, she is committed to providing personalized care and fostering strong relationships from the very first office visit.

Eunice is a board-certified Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She completed her Bachelor of Science in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience at Villanova University before obtaining her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Prior to joining GAMMA, Eunice practiced in otolaryngology (ENT) and urology. Her diverse surgical background has shaped her approach to patient care, which centers on trust, communication, and collaboration.
Eunice is dedicated to creating a space where transgender and nonbinary patients feel at ease and confident as they navigate their surgical care. She is proud to be a member of the GAMMA team.

With more than 25 years of healthcare experience, Keisha is a compassionate and dedicated professional with a strong background in patient care, healthcare administration, clinical operations, and team leadership. She is passionate about patient advocacy, delivering exceptional service, and creating efficient, patient-centered healthcare experiences.
Keisha brings hands-on experience in aesthetic and clinical treatment coordination, patient education, and pre- and post-operative care, along with years of managing multidisciplinary teams and developing training programs for healthcare staff. Her background spans both clinical operations and patient care leadership, giving her a well-rounded perspective on what it takes to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
