Drew Marano, MD

Dr. Drew Marano is a board-certified, fellowship-trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon with specialized expertise in gender-affirming surgery. As a founding surgeon at GAMMA (Gender Affirming Medical and Microsurgical Associates), Dr. Marano offers compassionate, expert care to transgender and gender-diverse individuals seeking gender affirmation through surgery.

A native of the New York metropolitan area, Dr. Marano was born in New York City and raised in New Jersey. Before entering medicine, he trained as a classical pianist and earned his undergraduate degree in Music from Brown University. He went on to graduate at the top of his class from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Dr. Marano completed his six-year Integrated Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency at the Columbia University / Cornell University program in New York City—one of the nation’s most competitive and well-regarded training programs. He then became the inaugural Complex Gender and Microsurgery Fellow at Harvard University, where he received advanced training in state-of-the-art gender-affirming surgical techniques.
